Using our owned 7-meter satellite uplink and earth station, "Jackson Teleport", as well as its full studio and robust broadband output capacity, WeatherVision has produced and delivered custom local news inserts for local CBS and NBC affiliates as well as an array of independent stations. As with our weathercasts, each newscast insert is produced using local news material, branded for the affiliate and its sponsor. These insert news clips vary in length from 30 seconds to 2 minutes depending on the requirements of the affiliate. With our new inserts, stations that do not produce local news find a new saleable news product with no upfront infrastructure costs associated. Also, stations that do produce news daily use the service as a money savings vehicle in areas that do not require a full time employee, such as morning news network cut-ins and weekend inserts. Both news and weather clips can be bundled together into a single newscast product.
