WeatherVision delivers television weathercasts and newscasts daily to television stations and the websites of television stations, radio stations and newspapers around the nation via ftp download and via satellite. Robust and redundant broadband output from the studio, along with a complete 7 meter Ku digital satellite uplink and earth station, are employed daily to get the content to the end-users. WeatherVision also has full production capabilities in house, including satellite uplink and ftp services, editing and complete Hi Def shooting and shooters.

We've been the go-to satellite uplink source for all major networks coming out of Jackson, Mississippi since 1990. WeatherVision has worked on a regular basis with every major network news operation and national news program in media in the United States.

LINKING MISSISSIPPI TO THE WORLD VIA SATELLITE

As a byproduct of our TV weathercasts via satellite, we also operate as “Jackson Teleport.” We are the “go to” private satellite uplink and studio in Jackson. For example, when you are watching an interview on ABC or FOX News and the anchor is on the set and introduces a guest from another city who joins the anchor on the set via a TV monitor on the set and the interview is conducted this way, well, the person in the TV monitor is being satellite-uplinked from somewhere. We are the facility in Jackson.

Since 1991, Jackson Teleport (JTI) has provided the only commercial satellite teleport for news and video emanating from Mississippi. JTI is based on a Ku-band digital satellite facility for uplinking live television interviews and pre-produced packages nationwide, instantly. JTI is also equipped for professional, affordable broadcast production. We have an AVID edit suite and can shoot in edit in either standard or high definition. We have a 20'x40', lit studio with mics, IFBs, Ultimatte chromakey and teleprompter. You can produce and edit your own work or team up with JTI to produce top quality packages.
