About WeatherVision

Chris MacDonald,
Chief Meteorologist
Chris MacDonald is WeatherVision's chief
meteorologist. He delivers on-air weathercasts for many of
WeatherVision's client stations and is responsible for the look and branding
of all clients' weathercasts.
Chris has 4 years of TV weather experience, working in KY, TX, and MS. During
that time he became intimately familiar with WSI weather graphics software--the
same software used by WeatherVision. This means Chris has the graphics
skills to tailor weathercasts to a client's exact specifications. Before
starting his on-air career, Chris earned his degree in meteorology from
Valparaiso University, near Chicago. While there, Chris was selected for
a prestigious internship with Tom Skilling, chief meteorologist at
nationally-broadcast WGN-TV in Chicago.
As a FOX affiliate's Web director, Chris specialized in HTML and demo-targeted
promotion using Web/social media, raising the station's page views by 30% in 60
days. Chris looks forward to using his Web skills to meet the needs of
today's clients, who want weather online and on-the-go.
To learn how WeatherVision can build a custom-branded weathercast that will
realize ad revenue from hard-to-convince advertisers (such as those that only
sponsor news/weather), or to learn how your station can gain sponsorship
opportunities by having an online or mobile weather presence, contact Chris: chris@weathervision.com.
